From the moment you walk in, it's like stepping into a museum filled with truly old items

The place has a raw, unpolished feel, like a typical Korean home from the days of

my grandfather's generation

The interior is striking because it feels like they've preserved the essence of those

times without any embellishments

As you look around, you'll see kitchen tools, farming equipment, and everyday items that were actually used back then. I was really surprised

when the owner mentioned that these were real, functional items used in the past

The food was a traditional Korean countryside meal, something you don't easily come across There was incredibly savory soft tofu, spicy pickled peppers, shredded radish, an old-fashioned doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and even mung bean pancakes, which are like Korean-style pancakes. I wasn't the only one who felt healthier with every bite—it really felt that way

Even though I visited relatively early, I was surprised by how many people were there

​

Since it's a bit far from downtown Dongducheon, public transportation or walking isn't really an option. You'll need to take a taxi, so the fare might be a bit of a burden

​

But if you want to experience an authentic 1960s-style Korean meal,

I highly recommend making the trip!
