The weather is so hot these days!

I feel like I'm going crazy

Back in the day, summers were cooler in the shade, with a gentle breeze blowing.

But now, summer in Korea reminds me of the scorching heat in the U.S.

​

This is an old story, but when I was living in the U.S., my younger brother lived in Texas.

​

If I wanted to visit him,

it felt like I was traveling from one country to another because the land was so vast.

 

I think it took about two hours by plane.

That guy lived in a place called Amarillo, Texas, back then.

​

I still remember the hot, desolate desert and the taste of BBQ lingering on my tongue...

So I looked it up, wondering if there were any American BBQ stores around.

 

Maybe because there are many U.S. soldiers here,

fortunately, there are a few options in Dongducheon.

The place I visited this time is called BQ...

Be careful with the pronunciation.

If you mix up "B" and "Q," sounds similar with the "F" worlds

It's a BBQ place.

The restaurant is really spacious, cool, and has an open feeling.

Most of the tables are for four people, but there are

also large tables that can seat over 15 people.

​

Since you're at a BBQ place, of course, you should eat BBQ, right?

​

They have quite a variety.

The taste might vary depending on your preference, but in my 100% subjective opinion,

it's pretty close to authentic American BBQ quality.

​

Especially the meat, which is well-aged and

slow-cooked over low heat, giving it a great texture.

​

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that the meat felt a little lukewarm.

​

Maybe they don't serve it hot on purpose, but it felt like it was slightly reheated,

which was a bit of a letdown.
