지행동 신상 샌드위치 가게 초이 초이_Choi Choi – A New Sandwich Shop in Jihaeng-dong

집에 오는 길에 얼마 전에 새로 생긴 귀여운 샌드위치 가게를 발견했어.
On my way home, I discovered this cute new sandwich shop that opened recently.

비슷한 가게들 사이에서 귀여운 녹색 간판이 딱 눈에 띄더라
Among all the similar places, the adorable green sign really stood out.

이 가게는 기성 재료를 모아서 만드는 곳이 아니었어. 물어보니까 포카치아를 비롯해 속재료, 고기, 소스 등 모든 재료를 가게에서 직접 재조한다고 하더라고.
This shop isn’t about using pre-made ingredientsn and they told me they make everything in-house, including the focaccia, fillings, meats, and sauces.

음… 대단하네.
Impressive, right?

 

하나 아쉬운건 포카치아의 식감에 불편함을 느끼는 손님들이 꽤 있어서 보통 식빵으로 변경할지도 모른다고 귀띔해줬어.
Unfortunately, some customers have found the texture of the focaccia a bit off, so they often switch to regular bread instead, according to what I was told.

나무 보관통 안에는 뚱카롱, 올리브 같은 재료가 올라간 포카치아 등이 있었고, 나는 배고파서 샌드위치 +1과 기본 플레인 포카치아, 아이스 아메리카노 +1, 그리고 토끼들을 위한 꾸덕초코쿠키, 사랑하는 아내를 위한 오트라떼를 샀어.
In the wooden display case, there were focaccias topped with items like macarons and olives. I ended up getting a sandwich, a plain focaccia, an iced Americano, a chewy chocolate cookie for the bunnies, and an oat latte for my beloved

커피가 맛있었어. 
The coffee was really good

산미가 강하지 않고 꽤나 바디감 있는, 대다수 K-입맛에 맞춘 맥날 스타일 커피였지.
It had a nice body without too much acidity, and it reminded me of McDonald's-style coffee that suits the typical Korean palate.

꽉꽉 찬 고기와 당근 라페의 조화가 좋았어. 먹을수록 수명이 하루씩 늘어나는 기분이었어.
The combination of hearty meat and carrot slaw was great. It felt like each bite was adding a day to my life.

매일 아침 7시에 새로운 빵을 구워서 판매한다고 해. 빵 나오는 시간을 가게 밖에 알려주면 더 좋을 것 같아.
They bake fresh bread every morning at 7 AM. It would be nice if they posted the bread-making schedule outside the shop.

젊은 사장님들의 맛있는 샌드위치 카페, 재방문 의사 150%야.
A very tasty sandwich cafe run by young owners. Definitely a 150% chance of returning!
