When I was a kid, going to the movies with my family was always a big event.

I still remember the smell of popcorn as we walked in and the huge screen where we watched movies. Those memories are some of the best from my childhood.

Now that I'm older, going to the movies isn't just about seeing a new film.

Maybe it's because I miss those happy times with my mom, dad, and sibling.

In my town, Dongducheon, there are several movie theaters.

There’s even an old theater that’s over 50 years old, and a brand-new one built by CGV,

one of Korea’s biggest cinema chains.

At the CGV in Dongducheon, you can play arcade games and choose from many different popcorn flavors like caramel, cheese, onion, and basil.

If you're an adult, you can even buy a beer to enjoy with your movie!

All the seats at Dongducheon CGV are recliners.

They are bigger and more comfortable than regular seats, and you can almost lie down while watching the movie.

How about it? Doesn’t Dongducheon CGV sound like a place you'd want to visit?

Unfortunately, while you can easily check movie times and book tickets through the app or website, they don’t offer an English service.

So, for now, it might be best to ask a Korean friend to help you find out the latest movie showtimes.

One more things that Are Different From American Theaters

You can easily watch not just Hollywood movies but also films from many other countries in states.

Here most brand named Cinema such as, CGV, Lotte Cinema. Megabox, they are not give you a variety options to watch

Most theaters focus on popular movies, so if you want to watch an independent or special film, you might need to visit a smaller theater instead of a big name cinema
