Today, I visited an interesting place.

I didn’t go there because I needed something. My meeting with my mom got delayed, so I was looking for a place to spend some time. That’s how I found this place.

It’s called "Work Up."

At first, I thought it was just a fancy hardware store. But I noticed that these stores are popping up everywhere, so I decided to check it out.

You can find it right after you pass Chukseok Hill, on the way from Uijeongbu to Pocheon.

■ Parking:

There are about 20 parking spots. It’s okay on weekdays, but it might be crowded on weekends.

■ Why you should visit this place:

In America, stores like Home Depot or Target have a section where they sell work clothes, shoes, and tools. "Work Up" is like a store just for those things.

They have everything from summer T-shirts to winter jackets, safety shoes, and small work tools. It’s really fun to look around.

They don’t have a lot of camping stuff, but you can find things like chairs, hammers, and foldable tools.

■ The most surprising thing:

The prices are really low! The clothes don’t have big brand names, but you can buy them for around $10. Even winter jackets are about $30.

You can get hats and bags for around $15!

I didn’t plan to buy anything big, but I found a long screwdriver for just 70 cents! I wanted to buy a summer work T-shirt, but the biggest size they had was 2XL, so I couldn’t get it.

It looks like "Work Up" stores are starting to open in big cities.
