Pocheon Jijiangsan Valley_지장산계곡

The word "valley" is a bit difficult to translate accurately into English.

While you could describe it as a river or a swimming spot, in a country like South Korea, where nearly 70% of the land is mountainous, the term "valley" refers to a natural space where people can enjoy water activities in the summer.

It's not hard to find a valley if you want to escape the city. Even a small stream can attract people looking to get away from the urban environment to enjoy camping and water activities.

 

However, a place like Jijiangsan Valley, where you can experience truly clean water and air while being surrounded by unspoiled nature, is almost unique in the northern part of Gyeonggi Province.

Jijiangsan itself is 877 meters high, with gentle slopes, making it perfect for hiking with kids. You can encounter the valley right from the base of the mountain.

In the summer, especially from July to the end of August, it’s a popular spot on weekends. If you plan to visit, I strongly recommend going during the weekdays, Monday to Friday, and traveling by car!
